Festival of Lights and Colors at Enoshima

“Shonan Jewel” is a winter festival connecting Enoshima Island and the Katase Coast, attracting fans from all over Japan. This event offers a jewel-like beauty, transparent and radiant, perfectly blending Shonan’s night scenery with nature.
This unique and magnificent scenery has received numerous honors, including being named one of the “Three Major Illuminations in Kanto” and a “Japan Night View Heritage.” This year, it was also certified as one of the “Three Major Illuminations in Japan.” Come and enjoy the spectacular light display that can only be experienced here.

Main Venue: Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden / Enoshima Sea Candle

The Grand Space of Light
A massive 360-degree light display spanning over 70 meters in diameter. The collaboration between the silhouette of Mt. Fuji and the illuminations is a must-see.
Shonan Chandelier
A sparkling tunnel created with densely packed LED lights. The powerful chandeliers create a luxurious atmosphere.
Shonan Jewel Entrance
A jewel-themed illumination area reminiscent of the sparkling Shonan sea and starry sky. Lights are installed at high positions, while the image of gently rippling water is projected at your feet.
HOSEKI FOREST
An illumination area set in nature, using energy-saving LED bulbs. You will be embraced by a gentle and warm world of countless jewel-like lights, glass terrariums, and driftwood.




Enoshima Island and Katase Coast Area
The entire Enoshima Island will be wrapped in lights. Please note that event dates and times vary by location.
● Enoshima Shrine (Hetsunomiya / Nakatsunomiya / Okutsunomiya)
Illuminations are set up throughout the shrine grounds. Enjoy the mystical Japanese atmosphere.
● Nakatsunomiya Square
This square in the middle of Enoshima is wrapped in warm light. From the observation point, you can see the beautiful Shonan night view and Enoshima Yacht Harbor.
● Kamegaoka Square (Hoseki Square & SAKURA Illumination)
A display resembling scattered jewels. Early-blooming cherry blossoms (Sakura) begin to bloom in mid-February, creating a rare combination of flowers and lights in Japan.
● Oiwaya Street (enoshima-Light-michi) & Dragon’s Love Bell
The winding path to the Dragon’s Love Bell becomes a wonderful “Light-michi” (Light Path), leading you to a romantic wish-making spot.
● Enoshima Iwaya Cave (Cave Illumination)
Time: 9:00 – 17:00
The cave formed by wave erosion is wrapped in mystical light. Enjoy a cave illumination, which is rare in Japan.
● Enoshima Yacht Harbor
Period: Dec 20 – Dec 25 (17:00 – 21:00)
Enjoy the beautiful Christmas trees floating on the sea.
● Enoshima Aquarium
Enosui’s Coral Tree: Nov 22 – Dec 25 (Approx. 6m tall Christmas tree)
Shonan Jewel Paludarium: Nov 22 – Feb 28 (Spherical tanks featuring beautiful fish and jellyfish swimming like jewels)
● Kugenuma Seaside Park (HUG-RIDE PARK)
Period: Dec 20 – Jan 12 (16:00 – 21:00)
